Issue 246

A slightly shorter email than usual, maybe there haven't been so many layout things posted, or maybe I missed some while I had my head down preparing my online Smashing workshop for today. The workshop is the reason this newsletter is going out so late in the day, now I've recovered from having talked for over two hours, having not really talked to anyone for three weeks!

Thank you to An Event Apart for the sponsorship this week. I should have been sending this email from Washington DC, instead check out the link in the footer to watch all of the videos from the show there last year.

Stay safe,

The Complete AEA DC 2019 Now Online

Normally, we release An Event Apart session videos gradually throughout the year—as a way to provide extra value to attendees and to give people a taste of the AEA experience.

But these aren’t normal times. Everyone’s suddenly working from home, and everyone’s more than a little distracted by current events.

So as of this morning, we’ve published the 12 remaining sessions from AEA DC 2019 in one fell swoop. They join the five videos we’ve already released this year. Every video is fully captioned, so you can watch with the sound off if you like.

Each session offers a unique, expert perspective on aspects of the web, interaction design, and user experience, from our industry’s best speakers and greatest visionaries. So, even if we can’t bring you An Event Apart DC this year, these 17 free videos will let you experience An Event Apart DC last year, as we all look ahead to An Event Apart DC next year.

So pop that popcorn, sink into your favorite chair, and learn with An Event Apart. Even if we can’t be together, we can still be Apart.

Watch now.
